Kenya Experience Young Athlete Camp 2025
Welcome to the 2025 Kenya Experience Young Athlete Camp, in partnership with Junior2Senior.
The 2025 Kenya Experience Young Athlete Camp is open to all runners between the ages of 13 – 17 at the time of the camp.
The Kenya Experience Young Athlete camp includes all aspects of a standard Kenya Experience camp with the additional benefits of coach and pastoral support from highly qualified and experienced UK based staff members from Junior2Senior.
The camp includes everything you would expect from a Kenya Experience camp which are highlighted here. This includes Full Board high quality and secure accommodation at the High Altitude Training Centre in Iten, and a fully guided and coached running camp experience. In addition to the standard Kenya Experience package, this young athlete camp also includes:
- Additional Coaching and Pastoral Care from Junior2Senior coaches Dan Studley and Matt Seddon
- Meet at arrivals at JKIA international airport in Nairobi
- Travel from Nairobi to Iten (return)
- Safari excursion on camps rest day
- Option to travel on same flights from London to Nairobi JKIA as UK based staff
The cost of the camp includes:
- Meet and greet at Nairobi Airport
- Return transfers from Nairobi to Iten (domestic flight from Nairobi JKIA to Eldoret, ground transfer from Eldoret Airport to Iten)
- 11 nights full board accommodation at the High Altitude Training Centre
- Full coaching programme
- Coached and guided running workouts
- Coaching seminars, coaches corner sessions and guest athlete meet ups
- Coached non-running workouts (s&c, drills, mobility etc)
- Kenya Experience favourites including meeting star runners
- Safari excursion on camp rest day
- Kenyan cultural activities and school visit
- Additional coach support from Junior2Senior Team
- Additional pastoral care from experienced staff from Junior2Senior
What is not included:
- International Airfare to Nairobi JKIA
- ETA (Visa) for Kenya
- Personal Travel Insurance (compulsory)
- Purchases of a personal nature (souvenirs etc, drinks and snacks outside of mealtimes)
- Personal Treatment sessions with Physiotherapist
- Sports massage from local physio and massage therapists
Junior2Senior
Junior2Senior (J2S) are the leading provider of training camps for young runners in the UK and we are proud to partner with them to bring you a world class running experience for enthusiastic young runners in Kenya.
Junior to Senior is led by Matt Seddon and Dan Studley, two coaches with extensive experience working with young runners in both training camp and educational environments. As well as running athletics and cross country programs in prestigious educational establishments, they also have experience of supporting young runners at residential training camps.
Matt and Dan will join the Kenya Experience Young Athlete Camp as coaches and pastoral care support in addition to our standard Kenya Experience team.

In addition to our usual Kenya Experience program Matt and Dan will add their own coaching sessions which will all be under the overall vision of long term development for the young runner. Matt and Dan focus on, and are driven by, the idea that runners of all levels can improve and enjoy their sport for years to come if they focus on the big picture rather than chasing short term goals.
