Meet Your Guest Coach: Myles Rawson
We are thrilled to partner with running technique coach and movement specialist Myles Rawson, the founder of Find Your Stride.
Trusted and followed by over 320,000 runners worldwide, Myles specialises in stripping away the confusing internet noise and delivering clear, evidence-based coaching.
Throughout the running camp, Myles will be fully integrated into our coaching team, working closely with you during practical sessions and workshops to help you:
-
Run Faster with Less Effort: Discover how to stop fighting the ground and start leveraging your body’s natural, elastic tissue to bounce through every stride.
-
Optimise Your Running Form: Transform your running economy using advanced dynamics like cadence tuning, ground contact reduction, and video gait assessments.
-
Injury-Proof Your Frame: Isolate and fix the hidden structural weaknesses in your feet, hips, and glutes so you can train consistently without breaking down.
Special Edition Workshops
You won’t just learn to run better; you’ll do it in the most supportive environment on earth, leaving with a clear plan and skills that will support your running for years to come.
Running Technique Workshops
The camp begins with foundational workshops featuring before and after video analysis. You will gain crystal-clear insights into your gait, posture, foot strike, head position, and glute utilisation. Learn to become more “elastic,” leading to long-term improvements in running economy.
Strength, Mobility, and Movement Assessments
Identify limiting factors through professional assessments. We focus on building a resilient frame – targeting the feet, hamstrings, hips, and glutes – while correcting postural issues caused by modern daily life.
Advanced Running Dynamics
Explore key performance indicators such as stride length, cadence, ground contact time, and vertical oscillation. Understanding and influencing these metrics provides a powerful roadmap for speed progression and injury resilience.
Recovery and Fuelling Education
Learn to build recovery into your training as a structured process. This covers nutrition timing and techniques for calming the central nervous system to ensure you are ready for the next day’s miles.
Trail Running Technique
Iten’s terrain is famously varied. This dedicated session teaches you how to move efficiently uphill and downhill on uneven surfaces, making full use of your body’s natural suspension system.

Find Your Stride x Kenya Experience Running Camp Frequently Asked Questions
Can all runners take part or do I need to run at a certain pace?
The Kenya Experience welcomes runners of all levels. Our camps typically include individuals training seriously to achieve personal bests, as well as casual runners seeking to experience the culture of Iten. The training program is designed to provide everyone with a unique insight into the Kenyan way of training while being flexible enough to cater for all abilities.
You will be joined by local pacers for every session, so regardless of your current speed, you will be accompanied by a member of our team at all times.
What is the training program like and how much running will I do?
The training program at The Kenya Experience is carefully designed to help you train effectively at altitude while also providing a unique insight into the Kenyan way of training. We strike a balance between structured sessions, easy runs, and plenty of recovery time, ensuring you can train well without overdoing it.
Each week typically includes:
+ 2 quality sessions, such as fartlek, intervals, or tempo runs
+ A long run, usually on the weekend
+ Several easy or recovery runs
+ Strength & mobility sessions, and opportunities for drills and technique work
+ Optional rest days or very light second runs if needed
You’ll usually run once per day (in the mornings), but nothing is compulsory, and the volume & intensity can be easily adapted to your ability, experience, and how you’re adjusting to the altitude. There will be spaces in the program for second easy runs each day for advanced runners.
Whether you’re a high-mileage runner or prefer a more moderate approach, our coaches will help you get the most out of the camp while staying healthy and strong.
Above all, our goal is to create an environment where you can train hard, recover well, and enjoy the experience of running in one of the most inspiring locations in the world.
How many people will be on the camp?
Our camps typically have between 15 and 20 participants, depending on the time of year and demand for that particular date.
This group size strikes a great balance – small enough for a personal experience, but large enough to create a lively and social training environment.
When camps are on the larger side, we bring in additional pacers and support staff to ensure that all runners are well looked after and training sessions are appropriately tailored to different levels and paces. This helps maintain our high standard of individual attention, regardless of group size.
How do I get to Iten?
You will need to make your own way to Eldoret International Airport, where a member of our team will meet you and bring you to the High Altitude Training Centre (HATC) in Iten.
Most international travellers arrive in Kenya via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi. From there, you can take a domestic flight to Eldoret International Airport (EDL). The primary airline operating this route is Jambojet, which offers daily flights between Nairobi and Eldoret with a flight time of around one hour.
We recommend booking your domestic flight directly through the Jambojet website for the best prices and most reliable service. Be sure to leave sufficient time between your international and domestic flights in case of delays or long immigration queues at Nairobi airport. If you need help planning your journey, please feel free to get in touch with us.
Where will we be staying?
We are staying at the High Altitude Training Centre (HATC) in Iten. This is the premier training venue for international athletes staying in Iten.
Facilities include a swimming pool, gym, and track.
The kitchen serves a Buffet for all meals. The food is homely with international classics and traditional Kenyan meals. Tea, Coffee, and Snacks are served in between meals. 90% of all the food served comes fresh from the HATC Organic farm, harvested the same day.
